New Artists

Please go ahead, and take your time to view the new artist featured by E.W.A. Farah Ahed agreed to be a part of this prject, and I couldn't be more excited to have her on board. Another great addition to our happy family.

Keep an eye on Aya as well, her work will change out to bring people a better idea of her artistsic personality.

Big Sneak and Rootless Trees both have some gigs coming up, to kick off the new season. If you are in the area, we'll be sure to let you know when they hit. Rootless Trees just released a few new tracks for everyones listening pleasure. Check out their profile on ReverbNation.com, or keep an eye here. Hopefully we can get our hands on them sooner then later.

New Season

E.W.A. has been going through a time of some restructuring, and a few minor changes on the site. We have been toyng with some new artists, and working on getting some fresh updated work from them. The summer months are just around the corner, and the musical heart is starting to beat once again.

With a few new tracks coming, and some great shows on the horizon, now is the time to start laying the foundation for what should be a great summer, as well as a great portrayal of new, different art. Ideally coming from all angles.

Big Sneak has been teaming up with fellow Rock group Bruce's Red Rocket, and the well developing Rootless Trees. They will be having some joint shows coming up in April, and tentatively May. The Alley in Highwood is being quite open to our Artists, and Monday Nights at Flatlanders are always a great time to see some new tricks.

Hope to see you all out and enjoying the scene this year.

Drawing a Future

So, we tried playing in the city and it didn't quite pan out, so here we are, back at the same old spot, only this time, the gounds are different. We have a acquired a few new artists, with a couple more to come, and a new. direction, yet again. As you may well know, E Washington Ave's focus has been, up till now, Music. Well, we have decided to broaden our focus, and shoot a bt further than that one miniscule dimension of the artistic world. Why focus on one, when there are so many beautiful things happening out there.

So, this brings us to our new goals. We are hoping to help get these artists some exposure, just like before, and get some heads turning in their direction, so these hard working people get what they deserve. Stick around for a bit, and watch it all grow!

Amazing Grace

It still astounds me just how fast tings can flip on you in this world. The dominoe effect set in place from a major effect can ripple into every corner of the lake known as your life, and bring about a tumultous journey for rest and assurance.

Alas, such will not be for those of us (a.k.a. myself) here at E.W.A. for some time, as major changes and construction shakes th foundation of what this whole organization was built upon. So, for know, all I can say, is take a large step back, let out a deep sigh of relief, and wait for us to find you. Because when we do, you will know it is time to start back on this path of discovery in the world of creative expression, and towards that bright light that could, innevitably, be a fly zapper.

The Winds of Change

E.W.A. is moving on up the food chain as we start centering our focus on playing in the city of Chicago. We have spent roughly the past six months securing and playing in the local area, and we are all ready to move on to bigger and better things.

Thankfully the Downtown area has a larger demand for acoustic artists as well, which makes up almost 50% of what E Washington Ave represents. But that doesn't mean Big Sneak wont be playing either. They have already started a few new tracks, and are ready to take the world by storm.

Not only are we working on moving into the city, but our focus is going to be expanding beyond just musical artists. We are going to start featuring artists, painters, writers, and poets on our webpage, www.ewashingtonave.com. Anyone with a taste for some creative developments with E.W.A. should contact us on our webpages, or at stat30fbliss@ewashingtonave.com.

The online network for artists will be dubbed "The E.W.A. Network", and we will keep everyone posted as to when that will be up and available for use to the public.

As always, we wish everyone the best in all their endeavors, and hope to see you become a member of this great community.

The EWA Network

Welcome to the debut of EWA on blogger. This page will stand as a communicative medium to the rest of the blogger community, and the world.

For those of you who don't know who we are, E.W.A. (E Washington Ave) is a community of artists working together to help create an influential force in the market. We serve as a promotional service, networking, record label, contacts lists, publishing, and opinions.

Although music is the largest focus of E.W.A., we are most deffinately not limited to that one dimension of the artistic realm. We have some talented poets, writers, film enthusiasts, promotional artists, etc.

If you find a small part of yourself in what we do, please feel free to contact us. We are always looking for new people and influences to play a role in what we do. You can find E.W.A. at lots of spots on the web;

On Myspace

at EWashingtonAve.com

and plenty of other goodies in between. Explore our network, and tell us what you think.

Thanks,
Rob @ E.W.A.
